The sunset takes 10 Kyrgyz minutes

From the Naryn television station on a mountain nearby the town we went downhill as we have had a bright weather and couldn't fancy to sit in the the taxi driving downhill. Bakyt cought the sight of a marvellous flood of light the sun was painting on the hills next valley. He wanted to take photos but, however, I was a little bit aloof with my camera. When I came to the spot the light already changed an he ordered to wait till it recovered.

We were waiting long.

The light did not reappear as before. "Wait 10 minutes" Bakyt asked repeatedly.

How long do 10 minutes take in Kyrgyzstan? Darkness already has covered the earth when we came back.

We were first!

Early in the year we drove to the Song Kol, a lake at 3,000 m. In May, it was still winter up here and the street was barly open. Just one yurta stood in the snow storm giving us shelter from the icy wind. However, we were first up here!

Of course, Bakyt again had chosen to hire a Njeva driver ;-) for this difficult trip.

Come, lets go and discover the beauty of snow and ice.
